The new illustrated alphabet Part 12: L is for LOGIN.
We've been reduced to this, our humanity and identity are summed up now in a few symbols, numerals or letters, without which access to anything in the modern world is almost impossible. Login details should never be written down but remembered somewhere in any spare part of the pink and fleshy memory you can still summon up and use. It's all so fragile when you start to think about it - however here's the official version: In computer security, logging in is the process by which an individual gains access to a computer system by identifying and authenticating themselves. The user credentials are typically some form of "username" and a matching "password", and these credentials themselves are sometimes referred to as a login. No wonder we're all on the edge of paranoia most of the time.
